Any memory device that can be altered is capable of losing it's data. Too early to suggest the ECU is duff, if the values can be written back and they stay there, well and good, if they cannot be written back, then it's time to try another ECU.I would leave it. I've never known anyone ever touch that calibration screen other than to hide an issue.
I am more interested in why you cannot see anything. I wonder if there is something up with the ECU? Or someone played with it?
My understanding is that the numbers are for trimming the FIP to account for production tolerances, they are not 128 on all cars, I have seen 3 now where some of the numbers have been different (NOT the idle setting) with 132, or 135 instead of 128.
