I’ve just been out to take a look and she’s still sat in wade height so doesn’t look to be an issue with the bags. Could be an issue with the adjust switch?

Not likely to be the switch. The driver pack is sometimes the cause of the type of fault you have or dodgy connections in the EAS box but more likely the white connectors at the foot of the A post left side of the car behind the kick panel. They corrode and need to be cut out and the wires soldered. No point in speculating, it needs diagnostics to narrow down the source of the problem. I never leave home without diagnostics in the car even though they are rarely needed these days.

Relay under seat unplugged.
Still sat at wade depth.
Still has 35mph limit fault on dash

Anything further I can do / try to help. I’m currently very stressed with the situation but am I being dramatic?
It's in a dormant state, if it doesn't drop its height over night then it'll be an electronic fault but diagnostics will be needed to find out wheat is happening. Does it occasionally lift to full height by any chance with being asked to do so?

+1 on do the footwell connectors, but I don't think that's the problem. The left footwell connector carries the signals to the height switch & BECM, so bad connections there only stop the switch working.

More likely is a sensor or driver pack connector issue, so the ECU thinks the car is grounded, and raises the car before going into fault mode. Diags is the first step. Also check the connectors underneath the valve block, and the sensor connectors underneath the car.

I have to disagree about the white connectors only stopping the switch working, the corrosion causes tracking between signals which can and does cause spurious height changes.

Hi Mark, I’d say in the time that I’ve owned it, yes it has tried to go to full height randomly whilst driving. Although strangely enough it tended to do it in exactly the same place (road) wise. So if driving to work, a specific point in the journey. Hope that makes sense.

The chap I bought the car off is sending me a EAS kicker that he had for it. So hopefully that will clear the fault before I then sort diagnostics.
 
It could be a faulty height sensor that's causing it but wait until the diag gives you a better idea before shelling out your hard earned cash👍
