Me too I didnt think it could but it did I cut out the corroded bit put in a straight connector and 2 months later the connector had corroded allbrought about by a crappy battery bought an unsealed as they recover faster so long as they are topped up but this one had a faulty cap anyway there you go it surprised me too as all the electrics were untouched
