Thanks pal. Thought there would be some problems. If i get a bare block with head and fit all my bits what can cause a problemSimple answer is no but I think the block is the same is the same. Main issue will be the security bit and the FIP. Cannot remember your year.

Thanks for that. Its nice to know you have every confidence in me. So basically it should fire up and all will be ok, for about an hour or two, till the gear box falls off at least.Only your workmanship.

Im just a bit concerned that the electricory wont play but as long as i use all my old bits and dont touch the fuel pump and upset sumat it should be okIt'll go twice as fast with half as much smoke for twice as long. And then the gearbox will drop off.

Ah #4, hoping all that stuff is ok. Theres the option of selling it on for peanuts or scrap it on the drive but that would be a shame after all the other work i have doneShould be fine but be careful of injector #4.
Thanks for the link. Not decided what to do yet.have a look on ebay for M51 BMW engine there are a few at reasonable price and you can change the sump over and the FIP and it should be all good

That has answered my question. I dont want to start messin with ecu and becm an all that. ThanksThe fip pump if still on the replacement engine needs to end in 994 otherwise you will have to change yours over.
