I chickened out a purchased a brown plug one last night, once that comes I’ll swap the white one out and see I get refund or replacement.I did plan to replace my early type with the later one when my inj#4 ‘malfunctioned’. After seeing the price (£200+) I decided to give it a go myself (something you should never do!)

Yes. Ran better than ever. It’s something you should send to a specialist that is competent with pop testing and shimming. DIY could be catastrophic. It was worth my gamble - to me - at that time.Was that successful for you then,

I took one apart to try and fix the leak round the wire entry. I was not successful.I did plan to replace my early type with the later one when my inj#4 ‘malfunctioned’. After seeing the price (£200+) I decided to give it a go myself (something you should never do!)
