It just goes to show with a light foot and a few extras you can manage good economy on these 'gas guzzlers'
Info for those interested I did an experiment:
PSI box - tuned for max economy
half tank of shell Premium Diesel (V-Power)
rear seats removed
windows closed
aircon off
Redex Injector cleaner full 500ml into 45 litres of fuel
Morris 15-40w fleet oil with friction reducer and new filter
Water wetter coolant
New fuel filter
35PSI an all tyres
Never rev above 1500 before changing up (saving your engine in the long run) and not above 50mph
Autoglym resin polish followed by super gloss coat
Roof bars, front spots, front a bar, side steps, mud guards removed
278 miles later
Av consumption 39.6MPG
