Hey Guys

My 1998 Range Rover 2.5 DSE has been running just fine, but tonight I was on the way to the petrol/diesel station and for a split second the engine light flashed on and off.

I ran a fault check and it came up with ''Fuel Flow Out Of Range''....was this simply fuel startvation for a second? (was going down a bit of a hill at the time)

There was a 1/4 tank left in it, so could this be the sign of a weak fuel pump as its a buggar to start hot or cold sometimes...

Is it chipped? If it is chipped then they all give that fault code it and the code is not related to the engine light coming on!

Do a search under 'dse cutting out' and you'll get what info there is on what causes a momentary loss of power on the over run

if the in tank fuel pump has got a crack in it,which is a common thing it will do this when low on fuel,see if it gets better at starting with a full tank or at least more than half a tank of fuel in it.

The ECU has been chipped....

I get a very brief (1 second) engine light flash on the overrun, when I take my foot of the accelerator

Is this a known issue?
