I usually get 5 seconds no matter what the outside temp is - I have replaced the temp sensor twice with new - just to double check - made no difference. Pulled glows 1& 2 so far today - both light up.

Checked glow plugs direct off the battery - they were new 6 months ago and a good make - yet 4 out of 6 not working!!

The thing about brand named goods it they are always the first to get copied and faked

New plugs, starter motor and battery - now starts on first turn! Combustion gas still escaping round the injectors - know this as oil seeping from oil cap has pooled around injector base and you can see it bubbling. Doesn't seem to effect running of engine so I'm going to leave alone for now. Thanks to all for helpful advice.

As Dopey says you can take out the injectors remove the copper washers heat up to cherry red and let cool and refit, what you don't want is a build up of carbon going passed the seals making future removal a pig.

I usually drop the washers in water to cool. Dont forget to Copperslip the threads and torque to 65 Nm (48 lb ft)
