Good afternoon Jerry.
First things first. My apologies for not responding to your advice and kind offer sooner, but I have only just found your last post. A lot of forums to which I subscribe, send you an email direct when you have a response and I suppose I had sub-consciuously waited on hearing that way. That's my excuse anyway !
The agency that had promised to get my CoC for about 45 did not perform and after grovelling to various French civil (admittedly, very civil) servants at different levels, I reached the conclusion that I would have to go through Fiat.
Sadly I had not thought of your idea of going to Fiat UK., before I paid Fiat Paris 145. I don't even want to know what I might have saved if I had done so. I did try that with my P38, but LR UK insisted I go to Paris.
Unfortunately the RR is not diesel, just petrol and GPL, but I would still be happy to talk, so I will PM you about my P38 and whatever else, at least as soon as I work out how to do so on this forum.
Thanks again
Tony.
What year is your P38? you may not need a certificate of conformity. Certainly post 2000 P38's have a little plate on the slam panel under the bonnet with a number begining e* If you have that number, you can go direct to the DRIRE and they will provide the neccessary
