Hi all can anyone shed some light on this for me,
just purchased a 2000 4.6 hse, previous owner told me just before i collected it that the air suspension was playing up flashing between the heights, then had a hard fault so he took it to the garage had it plugged in and had fault: exhaust valve stuck closed, garage reset it and was fine, so i drove it home all fine, got home and put it to full height then pushed the button to lower it the light on the dash kept flashing then went to hard fault, got out of the car locked up then the front dropped all the way and back stayed up,next morning still sat the same so plugged it in had fault :vehicle moved, managed to get it to drop at rear reset it and put it to standard height and left it there for the rest of the day and that night all stayed up fine then today went out all still up as id left put it to full height and same thing happened hard fault but now cannot get it go down or up, pump works sucks finger in and blows out past finger, when plugged in with software on calibration click to go to a height and i hear a clicking from eas valve block, but pump doesnt come on. any ideas thanks

When it went back into hard fault, did you read, clear then re-read the stored faults...as the Compressor won't run with faults logged....

Clear the faults, re-read to ensure cleared, then try again.

If the airbags are original they will need replacing as Datatek indicates they only have a life of 7-8 years or around 80,000 miles.

I would imagine it is valve block problem, but The Wammer and Datatek are the de facto geniuses on the EAS...so when they arise from their nightly slumber, they may be able to shed more light.

If the only fault you got was "Vehicle has moved" I'm a bit surprised. that fault means nowt, only that the suspension has dropped and it will not cause the hard fault "slow 35mph message" For it to be in fault mode, there must be another fault logged. It sounds as thought you may have a comms problem, are you using the EAS suite? If so do you get the green Good Idle button?
From your description, I would look at the connectors in the EAS box for signs of corrosion and the earth connections. Could also be the pressure switch if the pump doesn't run but the valve block operates although the pump will not run if there is a fault logged. There is a thermal cut out on the pump that can fail. Also check the underbonnet fusebox for signs and smells of burning, swap the pump relay for another of the same type.

saint.v8 did clear faults then re read them and had no faults showing, bags are next on the list for peace of mind thanks for your help

Datatek yes using eas suite and have good idle, gonna check your recommendations tonight and see how that goes will keep informed

thanks guys

Ok so fingers crossed i have solved my suspension problems:), took out my valve block to check it all over and the diaphragm was split quite badly:mad: new one in cleared faults took a while to pump up system but is working wont go into full height though like its struggling so compressor build i think ;)

one more thing does anybody know default calibration heights

From centre of wheel to wheel arch
Access 405 mm
motorway 445 mm
standard 470 mm
high 510 mm
extended 540 mm

Gone quiet. are the relays marked in the lid of the fusbox? Cannot remember!
