2001 4.0L P38 County. Vehicle has been sorned for the past 18 months and has been parked undercover with the battery on a maintenance charger and a dehumidifier running in the cabin. Finally got around to getting it ready for a mot last week. Jobs done were, nearside upper and lower ball joints , ns wheel bearing , steering damper and anti roll drop links. All running well before driving to the mot test. When starting to move onto the mot ramp. Traction failure and 30mph speed limit lamps lit up. Tester noted that the abs lamp didn’t illuminate. Tester was very complimentary about the condition of the vehicle, but couldn’t pass it as the abs lamp didn’t illuminate and then go of.
Got the vehicle back home, removed the instrument binnacle and found the abs warning lamp bulb had blown. Abs bulb now working when the ignition is on but won’t go off when driving over 5mph. SRS light is now also on ( but I assume I have knocked/loosened something when removing the instrument binnacle). Battery is fully charged and reading 13.3v. I have plugged in my Nanocom and camt seem to find any faults with the abs.
Any pointers on a logical route to diagnose the issue would be much appreciated.

On a secondary note, the garage was Stanrod Motors. Woodcote (Reading). They seem to genuinely like having an older car to deal with!

Check the live readings from the abs sensors while driving. Keep it under 5mph and the slower the better. See if anything looks wrong. Could be a dodgy sensor/connector

Check the seats of where the bulbs in the binnacle sit. They can get a bit dodgy at this age and need brightening up and reseating. Also check the yellow connector under the driver's seat but with battery off and after a 10 minute wait to let capacitors discharge.

Check the yellow connector to the steering wheel airbag.

Checked voltages and speed readings under 5mph and they all seem to be giving out similar readings ( 2.5v ). Will have a bit more time next weekend so will get the the vehicle up on axle stands and remove the wheels to make access a little easier.
