Morning guys,

Got a intermittent fault headache I need your help with

4.6L Gems P38, has cut out a few times when coming up to junctions, then it won't restart for say about 10 minutes (turns over fine, just doesn't catch, not even a splutter). Then after a while it starts ok.

Then the other day wouldn't start first thing in the morning, turning over wouldn't catch, then 30 minutes later started on first turn of the key

Its got a relatively new fuel pump, new battery, have changed the ignition relay.

I know it needs plugging it to check for error codes, just need to get one.

But can anyone give me somepointers about what else it could be?

ideas off the top of my head are:
Fuel pump relay
Coil packs
Crank position sensor

I would vote for Crank position sensor.

Sounds like my symptoms I had until the crank sensor was replaced

Not necessarily - best thing would be to connect up an oscilloscope and check the output signal for noise/missing spikes or dips.
