I have to admit I wouldn't even bother getting one refurbished. Id but new. I know it's a lot of money but it's peice if mind and alot of miles.

We're talking serious money, even if it is still available. The same pump went on the BMW, Miggy, some Passats, all sorts. The code ending 994 is the one you need, otherwise you'll get odd results. Guessing cheapest might be from Vauxhall but got a feeling all new units probably got bought years ago. Showing as Out of Stock for £2,500 on Rimmers!

I can get one through my local parts dealer for 1500.i was going to replace on old engine before it blew through lack of care previously. No need now just need this one set up. On the thread you sent me to. Wammers mentions the boxes in the fuelling on nanocom. And says not to change any value. Well mines got 128 in the idle value. But the rest are blank. Is this correct?

That'll be the default. If it idles at 750rpm (warm engine) on 128 then leave well alone as that's fine.

They are all different numbers on mine between the 2 running cars, although Wammers says there are a standard set of numbers,

£1500 will be a generic cheapo - expect problems after a while. Mine seems like FIP but since I’ve only done 143000 miles - suggests setup as they can do 200000 easy enough.

I’d set static, it’s easy enough just follow rave procedure to the letter, wammers is here if you get stuck, and there’s plenty of us amateurs have done it successfully on here, loads in search bar.

If it idles okay I’d guess pump top is adjusted okay - Grrrrrr??

Yes, don't touch that unless you have to!

Sorry, remind me what the fault is?

Low rpm and water temp are ghosts. Ignore those.

If you get us the codes (from a P38 reader) we can tell you what they are and mean. Grrr likes pics of nanocom readings ;)

If it is FIP best solution would be a recon genuine LR unit from DJ Manchester. It’s cheaper than a new s**part one and no one has problems after. It’s what I will do if/when it comes to it

Yeah it's not the pump.. Its been rebuilt recently still has the marks in it. I think. It just hasn't been set up. Properly personally. Off the top of my. Head something like intended fuel timing out of range or along those lines. I'll plug in soon and get a pic.

Need Wammers or Datatek to interpret codes but I can make pretty graphs in Excel and compare to what I have.

"intended fuel timing out of range or along those lines" might suggest a fuel quantity servo problem but I get a fault like that on both mine and they run perfectly, so may be an invalid fault.

Timing out of range means static timing is out and timing device cannot travel far enough to correct it.
