Just about to stick a belt on the aircon pump to crank pulley on the project P38 for "****s and giggles". There isn't a belt on at the moment and the idler is tight up against the aircon pump pulley as you would expect without tension.... only issue I have is that it looks like the A/C pump and idler are on fixed brackets... how do you drop idler to accept the belt? Unlike the main aux belt tensioner there doesn't appear to be away to release the tension?

On the dozzel the 13mm bolt is loosened off and an alen key is used in a hole to turn the whole idler then retightern the 13mm bolt all done from underneath with the under tray removed.

Ta mucho, will have a squeeze underneath.

I think the belt i used is a 4pk830 but the book says a 4pk840 but with the 840 you some times run out of adjustment, a few others have had to do the same.
the 4pk830 is not listed for a p38 but just search the part number and it will come up.
