What is it with parts suppliers and their delivery costs, the part I want is £2.20 yet all of the parts companies want a minimum of £4.95 to post it, I appreciate there is the cost of a small Jiffy bag involved about 30p then 1st class postage about £1.00, possibly cheaper if you have a franking machine and Royal Mail will even collect from you so you don't have to go to the Post Office.

All I want is an IRD Fill Plug........

Count yourself lucky you're not in Northern Ireland. Feckers try and charge you pallet rates for a bolt.

I find it interesting when I price parts from three different suppliers and then compare their freight charges. LRD has be quite competitive with parts prices and reasonable with freight costs. One of the others is often 1/3 to 1/2 as dear again for the freight - same items ...

LRD is about the only one that includes NI in their free shipping over 50 quid policy.

My experience as well is that LRDirect is good with its delivery pricing.

They have used DHL when I've had deliveries down here and it has always got here quickly (within a week).

Haven't had anything sent since Covid though.
