I have just bought a 2011 free lander SD4 HSE but cannot find a over set speed buzzer can anyone tell me if one is fitted to this model.
Sorry for the delay in answering, I traded a 1998 P38 Range Rover in for this Freelander, with that from the column stalk you could set a desired speed for when the buzzer would sound, when you drove through that speed the buzzer would go off, if you dropped your speed to below that level then the buzzer would sound again as you passed up through that speed again, does this make sense? The P38 was sluggish and not as responsive compared with the Freelander, so I want a bit of help to rein it in a bit and with not having an automatic before it takes a bit of getting used to when you shut off with no engine breaking it cruises on. I thought with having a Freelander that is twelve years younger it would have the device fitted I have just read through the sat nave set up thinking there may be something similar in there but I can’t find anything.
My first Landy was a new Discovery when they first came out I think 1990 H reg I kept it for eleven years, then I bought the P38 at five years old kept that for eleven years also never any problem with either and they were both worked hard.
