Gordon Brown has just explained on TV that he has increased road tax on certain cars, including Freelanders, to reduce pollution. As he is always right this means that when we pay £400 per year tax our emissions will automatically improve. How does this happen? Maybe these clever people will put a chip in the tax disc so that when we put it on our windscreen it sends a signal to our ECU and cleans things up.
I hope they don't intend to make our cars too expensive to run and so have more room on the road for themselves. No, they are not nasty like that are they?
