Gents,
I have the west Alpine route planned for May/June if anyone is interested.
I live in the east of Switzerland (Sankt Gallen) although I own a series 3 (88) i'm not certain if she will be fit by then yet (ream main oil seal nightmare) if not I have a (non landy) alternative.
Basically the route follows the swiss/French/Italian border to the Italian coast in day hops of up to 50km along a mix of old military support routes and forestry tracks. Overnights on camping spots in the mountains.
All the fun of gravel roads for hours, some easy water crossings and driving from mild to "you really need to know what yer doing" !
Cost - up to you.. i'm not asking for anything.
If anyone is interested let me know and i'll make a zoom call presentation of the route alternatives, distances and so on early in the new year.
to be clear -
You need to know how to drive off road properly ** NOTE: we could meet in Switzerland for a days training before we set off - costs around 300 CHF**
You need to know how to navigate (map n compass)
