Usually people recommend the pink OS maps to find byways for greenlaning but the Orange ones have a larger scale so wouldn't the oranges be more detailed .,please help before I buy the wrong one - many thanks

Orange ones are better. Like you say they show more detail.

Tis the ones I use anyway. Along with memory map now.

Pink if your covering lots of miles as you need less of them but orange for me for better detail

I think it's os online maps one of the other scout leaders uses to print off just the area we need for hikes might be useful just print and laminate. Not sure exactly as I haven't done the hill training.

Pink with view ranger for laning. Orange for walking.

If you can map read properly either is fine.
