Our dog goes most places with us to. Its why we have a dog guard... it spends most of its time in the garage though and the dog enjoys the comfy seats :)
I have a dog guard too, and I use it but that does not negate the need for plenty of lying down space within their allotted boot space. Mine do not travel on any passenger seat.:)

How on earth do you reach to give them their ice creams then? :)

No ice creams in the car, sorry! In fact, no ice creams. Yesterday, IN THE GARDEN, they each had a raw rib bone to chew on, sadly a Red Kite swooped down and nicked one of them when they left it to go and get a drink of water!!!

Your garden seems to be alive with wildlife!

Polecats, Red Kites, how long until the wild boar move in!:D

Not in the near future, I hope! They are further over in the east, in the Forest of Dean area. We live very rurally and are very much entertained by the wild life in and around our 'patch'.
One night we returned from a local hostelry only to find that a flock of sheep had moved in! What a mess they made! Our 'plague' at the moment is all the woodpecker families who seem to love our garden and its peanut holders. Grass snakes, slow worms, frogs, toads and newts are also part of our visitors.:):):)

That is very good, similar to when I was farming.
Sheep make a bit of a mess of a garden, but not as much as 20 or 30 bullocks, they can really do some damage!
I know what you mean about the Greater Spotted Woodpeckers, they can really go through the peanuts!

They do and they never even say thank you!

They used to hang on the feeder, and whack the mesh with their beaks, so hard that bits of nut were flying everywhere! :D

I like them, though, even though they are quite a destructive bird, and raid songbird nests on occasion. My favourite Woodpecker is the Green Woodpecker, although I didn't used to see many of them in Cornwall. They used to feed on the ground in the garden in Hampshire.

Yes, they are a lovely bird but we do not see them around here - a bit too high up for their habitat. Another interest bit of wild life around here are the red squirrels although we haven't had one up in the garden yet. A lot of work is being done to remove the greys and to try to spread out the reds from the Llyn Brianne area.

You are very lucky to have red squirrels, a delightful animal. I have often seen them up in Scotland.
I always used to shoot greys in the garden, and my friend worked on trapping and shooting them for the Red Squirrel Project up in Northumberland. The two don't co exist.

Getting closer! I've found two - a husband and wife private trade-in-,yuk, '64 plates, both iro. 25,000miles, both Metropolis, one black and one white . Both appear to be in great condition with clear MOTs. The one thing I am a bit unsettled about is the size of the Dog Compartment (boot) and the dark privacy glass, I have two Bearded Collies. Both same price - 25 grand. Decisions, decisions, decisions. I can't go to test drive until the weekend so 'watch this space.
I have also seen a Discovery Sport at 26 grand, also black, but fewer 'refinements' EXCEPT the boot is bigger.'62 plate, mileage much higher at about 80,000 - can't remember! A bit negative is that the roof does not open and I use my sunroofs a lot for the animals.
I do have to consider the dogs as they go everywhere with me and are likely to out-live me.
If yer looking for a Freelander 2 metropolis (highest production spec, also one of the run out models) then £25k will get yer a good one from the LR approved used, with 2 year warranty. And they've got a blue one anorl.
