Hey all!
Thought I would ask for everyone's opinions as recently my MOT place was super confused as they think my EML has been blanked? Now... I thought that because this car F1 1.8 2000 is technically before the OBD-2 Requirement it does not have an EML hence it never showed up, I've seen many pre 2000 cars, especially the Mazda MX5 which 1999 models I know also don't have an EML.
My MOT place were CONVINCED that this is supposed to have one, but they also think that because you can physically plug an OBD-2 reader into the car, it is OBD-2 compliant (which it is not) so they believe a fuse has blown somewhere.
I don't suppose anyone has any info on the EML for the Pre 2001 Freelanders? My dash is the lowest spec trim, so I can see the outline for the EML but it doesn't look "blanked" and it didn't even come on when the engine blew up!
Any help or info is appreciated!
