hello to everyone, can someone tell me the reason why theres oil comming from the back/top part of a td5 engine which i saw this morning???help would be very welcomed................

its probly comin from yer rocker cover.
if you leave it too long it will find its way into the wiring loom an cause you no end of grieff, so sort it soon as !

thanks for that mondo,if it is that, wat causes it and how do you fix it???

If yer remover the big plastic black cover (3x13mm bolts ) you will clearly see the alloy cover and its fixing bolts when thats removed you just need to fit a new paper gasket an slap some gaskit goo on the face just t mek sure !;)

thanks once again for the info mondo.i will c wat excuse they come back with.(the people iam supposed to be buying it from that is)another quicky seing as u know a damm site more than me,wud a snorkel increase engine power if any,and wats the best way to increse tourque and power.ive got a 55 plate defender 90 and ive noticed sum flat spots(if u know wat i mean)ive been told this is normal??iam selling it cuz i think its to good to tow my 360 wich is just under 3500kg so a work horse is required, hence this td5 truckcab on a 02 wich i saw this morning.....................

snorkel wont do anything for the engine. best look in the mags at power upgrades. depends on what you want to spend. most people go for a bigger intercooler, modified turbo. then exhaust, chip etc.

be carfull towing your tracked mini-ex, 3.5t is on the limit i believe. you be chewing through transfer boxes like no tomorrow ;)

As Griffdowg said. A 3.5 tone mini digger is right on the land rover weight limit, for any continual towing at least, I don't know how a big ol 110 with jimungus heavy duty suspension would cope but a 90 truck cab squats very low at the rear and might might not have enough poke to get off the mark as quick as you would like. also trying to stop the whole rigg  can be very scary at times:eek:
