I am about to service my Landy (or rather a friendly mechanic is) but I am supplying all the parts, can someone please list the different oils i am going to need for engine, gearbox, diff etc it is a 1972 series3 with the standard 2.25ltr petrol engine, thanks in advance and apologies if this has been asked before!!

Have a peek at page 35 of this http://www.legionlandrover.com/manuales/workshop%20manual%20-%20introduction,%20specs,%20general%20maintenance.pdf the answer is you need lots of EP90 and 20/50 or 10/40 (asda have Mobil semi synthetic at £3 a litre...I've just changed mine...and I'll tell you now many new leaks I have in a few weeks time!!)

Around 8 litres if changing air filter bath and filter as well. Plus 7.5 litres of EP90 for diffs, transfer and gearbox. I also went wild and bought some molyslip to nurse the old gears along...esp the O/D!! These chaps seemed reasonable and supersonic delivery!! http://www.crewchiefspitstop.com/

should be mineral oil for engine not synthetic

so not semi synthetic then just mineral like the old castrol gtx or duckhams
