 £1200 ?????

Your eyes do not deceive you!

That is for the most complete kit one could buy, basic kit is £918 but I ordered every possible extra. Might aswell get it out of the way rather than ****ing about halfway through wishing the job had been done better...

Way to go Mr Noisy. Haven't heard a bad thing about megasquirt when it's been fitted properly!!

Good man .. then there's the fun, the tuning!

Helped a mate fit one, only wielding spanners and making cuppas really, but the real good part of MS is the tuning. If you have patience and a logical thinking mind it's relatively easy.

Take copious notes to refer to later!

Thanks for the advice paul, I admit I am most apprehensive about the tuning, but then tbh once it's running then tuning it will be the most fun I think!! :)

Same or similar I think.

It's a bit of an urban myth that it magically improve mpg apparently, HOWEVER I see no way in which it can make it worse (the huge spark makes an unadjusted mixture run lean so it must be more efficient) AND we can have multiple maps available to flash to the ECU from the laptop, one for power when off road and one for economy cruising on the motorway etc.

It will certainly be fun to play with! :)

We begin.
