desert not a good place at the moment we went on sunday and was covered with coppers they even had the helicopter there and it was for the bikes and the 4x4s too,we ended up going to the quarry at matlock buy a bit dangerous there,if you do find anything going off close by lets us know too as we are not far from you and are wanting somewhere to go at the weekend and we will let you know if we find anywhere??

The desert is private land to which the public have no legal right of access. As has been mentioned elsewhere on this thread and on other threads in this forum driving on the desert may well get your vehicle seized As the Golf club has been stirring the council up and they in turn have stirred the police up. And as a result they are clamping down on all illegal offroading there.
