Doesn't DVLA have to inspect a vehicle / do an IVA before giving it Q plate?
Vehicle checker ( https://car-check.co.uk/check/Q695JWU ) says the engine is 2286cc (10J ?) , so the DVLA still has wrong details as the photos do show a TD5 engine.
I believe the Q makes it ineligible for the 40+year historic vehicle/tax-free/MoT-free status...
That's the main attraction (gone) for a 40yr old truck, surely?
So it must have been cheap, then ?

This isn’t what you posted earlier. Rebuilding with a different engine is not illegal at all. Which is what you were suggesting. Clearly you have a different agenda to the topic of this thread

The diagnostic socket should be attached on a bracket, on the seat box, to the left of the cubby box, or seat.
We have a Foxwell to use, works well but more limited than a Nanocom.
Hi prev owner had moved it to the underside for some reason ?… i found it and extended it up through the passenger side glove box …… thank you chaps for all your answers ….sorry for causing some friction with 2 guys whom i must’ve confused …☹️🙃🙃
