Lots of GB suppliers refuse to ship to NI because the courier they use charge extra to get across the Irish sea. If using Royal Mail and some of the couriers the cost is the same but many charge a lot more.
I suspect this supplier has seen other ebayers exclude NI and have just copied without checking the reason or checking if they need to. It's not the first time I've come across it as I've been on a Chinese spending spree recently.
 
In honour to this thread - which I am loving by the way - I intend to embark on my own little cool tech mod. It will be nowhere near as good as Nodge's rear view mirror temp display, but, I would like to replace the clock with an outside temp gauge. I've been looking for something that I could adapt to have the OE look and ideally retain a clock feature too. I've not yet found a combined unit that looks good enough for me but I have found the unit below.... which has the right colours and a size that looks like it could be worked with. The green back lit lcd display should go well with the face lift setup. I'm going to get a spare clock binnacle from a scrapper and have a go at marrying the two together. I figured that I can do without the dash clock as the Becker stereo has one on the man display anyway. To those who've fitted an external temp display, where is the best place to position the sensor for best/most accurate/stable results?

I put mine at the base of the ‘B’ pillar, which you can see when you open the front doors.

It’s away from any engine heat influence, and subject to outside temps as it’s outside of the rubber door seals, but not in direct air flow, so protected from wind blast, direct sunlight, or any damaging influence. There is enough gap around the doors for adequate air flow and the lead can be run back to the dash under the door sills, carpet etc.

I have found it to be accurate enough when compared to my other cars oem versions. Can soak up heat when stationary in traffic or left with the sun on that side of the car, but on a standard U.K morning will give good ice warning and on the move is accurate.

That sounds like a good spot. My main concerns are keeping it out of influencing air to keep it as accurate as possible (engine heat and wind etc). It may be a mute point given it's a cheapo Chinese component mind...

I thought this was an interesting idea as when I'm driving at night I often fumble around with the heat' ven't controls and the switches below them. I fitted one LED just below the arm rest cubby lid. It works a treat! Just enough light to illuminate the centre console without any glare to the driver...

I added puddle lights to my MGF mirror. They work just right too, giving dim lighting over the centre console area.
