Old Faithfull. Disconnect battery for a while then connect up again. May possibly reset everything.

Has been known to work, needs to be off a good hour to make sure everything shuts down completely....remember you'll need to re-set windows/roof and maybe re-sync fobs.

Not recommended, but as it's dead at the mo not much to loose!!

wouldn't disconnect the battery. i have the same problem as you the dam thing just wont start been like this for months had people out to look at it and no one knows what it is and it all started when i disconnected the battery for a few hours

ah, you've just thrown my mind into chaos! not hard really....

i've just disconnected the battery and was going to leave it for an hour to see what might happen. still think i will cause it isn't starting at the minute, so might as well try i guess...

got a guy coming tomorrow with a black box to reset everything, so just giving it a go before he is due tomorrow. hopefully the battery might solve the problem, or is that just wishful thinking!!

well just re-connected the battery and unfortunately no luck. will need to re-sync the fob. had to climb in from the back seat cause it just wouldn't let me in the drivers door. battery is on charge and i'll have to wait to see what happens when the guy gets here with the black box...

if royal mail were actually doing anything these days, i might just order the black box itself....

Update. Still no change. After disconnecting the battery for almost two hours on christmas eve the car won't start but will lock unlock fine with the fob. I had a guy round with a fault code reader (unfortunately wasn't there at the time so talking to him over the phone) he said it wouldn't accept a reset. Was giving fault code 1670 or 1672 (can't remember but something like it, sorry). Car still turns over but not firing. No messages on dash. When i put the key in the ignition the led doesn't flash... I'm going to check for fuel and spark tomorrow. Haven't been near it this last week cause i've moved house and haven't had time. Start back to work on tuesday so could do with it starting to behave!
