Hi Folks,

Tried a forum search but nothing coming up.

Basically, hoped into my disco last night, turned the key to start and nothing. Lights didn't dim on the dash so didn't suspect the battery. Tried a couple of times to start it and it finally turned as if nothing was wrong. Drove a good distance home and switched it off and decided to see was the fault still there by turning it over again, yep still there. When I was turning the key I was listening out for the clicking of the starter solenoid thinking the problem may be the starter but I couldn't here a click. What do you guys reckon, in work today so haven't got a chance to look in depth and hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Trigger wire on the starter seleniod, small wire with a spade connector, pull it off clean connection and refit, hope this helps, you should be able to do this without jacking it up as its on drivers side in line with the rear of the wheel

if no joy with that wire next time when it makes tricks hit it with a hammer and if after that it starts the brushes in the starter are worn

I have the same problem about once every couple of months. When it does it I just get under car and wiggle trigger wire and its fine again

Yep im still learning, only had mine 6 months and in that time probably spent about a month trying 2 find the faults or fixing them :brick:
