Yes. I've always had my P38 and Discovery tdi before that serviced my Rick Mason in Rushden. PM me and I'll give you his number. There isn't a lot he doesn't know. He's an independant RR Land Rover mechanic.

Thanks 300AJC for the contact details of Rick Mason. Looks like he can fix my Disco 3 EPB which is completely locked, can't move the vehicle even in low range!!. He is literally just down the road and i did not know it. He was a bit mystified that he is known on the internet when he does not use it!! Famous and he did not know it!!

There should be an emergency release for the Parking Brake (atleast there is on the Sport and Disco 4)....

Usually it is under the centre console cubby box/hole or surround....

(also try posting this in the Disco Section you may get a bit more help)

Anybody out there know of a good RR mechanic to change valve block and diaphragm. Cheers

Can confirm RM in Rushden without a doubt the best around, not a self cert specialist like others local, this guy has been there and done it, worth a visit.:D

The emergency release did not work, neither did an electronic reset. Called the RAC out and they dismantled the brake to find the shoes locked on and melted, must have been closing whilst driving. The RAC were brilliant and by removing the shoes on one side made the vehicle drivable .

Ditto, he replaced my damaged air suspension compressor bracket, very reasonably and is a welth of information and help on all Land Rovers. Hail Rick Mason of Rushden!!
