my disco is over heating like a bitch think its the rad as i took thermostat out its not long since had a new water pump ,so god knows gonna start stripping the cooling system and giving the rad a good cleaning intercooler too ,

oh got shut of the v8 at last

if its a 300 then removing the stat aint that good an idea. its a 3 port valve, engine via bypass (inc heater matrix) when cold (shuts rad off), engine via rad when warm (shuts bypass off). removing stat allows circulation of least resistance, ie the bypass and not the rad!
if it aint a 300, then i'll shut up!

went there a month or two ago and they had got rid off all motors...

council closed em down on the spares side... not sealed ground etc..

still there as a garage though... and have some lkimited used parts...
 
got me ticket, 2 ball joints, simples :)

hope my new thermostat solves my heat issue, when I tested the old one agains the new one in a pan, the old one didn't open up as far as the new one until I got the pan propper bubbling away.
won't know till I go on a long run though...
