Going to check the stop solenoid and scope the crank angle sensor tomorrow.
Also contact Super chips to see if their chip bypasses the immobiliser

If they didn't set it to secure then it won't need a code. I'm guessing they didn't, hence the note saying bypassed. The car still has an alarm system though and I doubt it will run unless the BECM has everything it needs - like valid EKA.

Have you got RAVE? Soneone should have a link if it isn't in the Technical Section. It takes a bit of fiddling to work on Windows 10 but it is worth it because all the security details are in it.

Okay , update. Stop solenoid checks out ok and there is a crank angle pulse to the ecu on my scope.
Superchips were unable to confirm if they bypassed the immobiliser or not.
Yes I have Rave

I'm going to attack this from another angle. I'm going to assume the immobiliser has not been bypassed, and try to get the eka accepted.
Door latch has passed the test on this forum, but somethings not right. I will go to local dealer tomorrow to confirm eka code
If there is anyone near Melksham with nanocom or faultmate I'd be very grateful for some of their time for some beers.
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions

That doesn't say much for Superchips:rolleyes:
The switch test is not definitive.
If the drivers door does not lock and unlock with the key, you will not be able to enter the EKA code.

The drivers door locks and unlocks with the key but the other doors only lock, they don't unlock. the alarm led at the windscreen stays flashing.
The dash " lights on" lamp registers lock and unlock.

Something's up there then. All locks should move when using the key. @mozz smith is the king of getting these moving.

You used to have a real Guru just down the road from you but Marty doesn't seem keen to come back from NZ.

So, you should be able to enter the EKA code.

Going to eliminate the door latch tomorrow. I've knocked up a separate switch system to connect to the door lock loom to try the eka.
If that doesn't work, I will assume the becm is in lock out mode :(

Just had my eka confirmed by my local dealer. If my switch bypass set up fails tomorrow, then I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and send the ecu off to be sorted out.

You should be able to read the chip using a suitable EPROM thing. You might need to scrape sone lacquer off the legs so it can make contact. Or Nanocom can read if in the car, of course.

Read the chip with an "EPROM thing"? What in the BECM?? You need the 035 module and a Faultmate to go into the firmaware.

No, the one in the engine management board to get the immobilisation code. BECM requires a Faultmate with that extra module as you say.

Okay, update. Run out of options, entering the E K A code has been fruitless. Pretty sure becm is in alarmed state, so it's now on the way with the engine ecu and key fob to Rick the Pick. :)

Okay, becm and engine ecu back from Rick the Pick. The good news is, success, problem resolved. Just need to sort out passenger front door lock, motor u/s and all good. I would just like to say thank you to everyone who chipped in to help, especially Datatek, Wammers and Grrrrrr. Your help was much appreciated
Kind Regards,
Bribull
