Hi I have a Range Rover L322 3.0 ltd 2005 (BMW engine) everything was fine until I went to go to work the other morning and the car started put it into drive and it wouldn’t move and started to make a noise went into reverse fine no noise not sure what’s wrong with it. Also can’t fine anyone that will have a look to repair or replace it. Need to know if it Worth the work.

Any warning on the dash....Trans fail etc?
How many miles has it done?
Gearbox and torque converter generally need a rebuild after about 80k.

Rebuild after only 80k miles? That's another Landyzone-defined peril I didn't know I had.....

Sounds like gearbox failure, @Bemble is the expert on these.

nothing on the dash. It’s done 217455miles has recon box fitted 2years ago it’s only done 17000 approx

Do you know if it had the upgraded Sonnax valve block?
I know very little about gearboxes but had mine reconned a couple of years ago. As @Datatek says, sounds like a gearbox issue.
