Hello Guys & Girls.
Just want to introduce myself as a newbie to the site, I live in York, North Yorkshire and I am 65yrs young, I have just bought my first Freelander 2 and I am over the moon with her. never had a Land Rover before, ( Except the ones that the Government let me have when I was serving in Tanks) I have a good mechanical knowledge so I can do a lot of the jobs myself, Unless i need a Hydraulic Ramp then I am stuffed and have to pay the garage to do my jobs. So nice to be here and Health Wishes to all.

Got any piccies of your new acquisition ? :)
Yes Mate. here you go. I have just finished putting front and rear mudflaps on her today. I pull a caravan so I though I had better fit them stop the front of the van getting caked, I am thinking about doig the rear wheel bearings now.

Hello mate, nice landy :) Have you tried a towing cover for the front of your van? I got one the other week yet to fit it though.

Your efforts with the valet paid off, looks really clean. Interior is lovely

Hi Smithy. Thank you, I tried the front cover on my previous caravan but I found out when I took it off that some of the windows were scuffed with the wind chattering on the cover, so i have never used one since, mind you that was 15 yrs ago, I just dont want these windows scratching.

I'll have to see how mine is then, hopefully newer covers are softer material

Yep, will do. It's a universal one so bit of a faff to fit I think but seems good quality. My vans 10 years old so windows aren't pristine but I'll keep an eye on it
Mine is a 2006 Bailey Senator Oklahoma, so my windows are not pristine either, I am going to try some stuff to clean the scratches off, I will let you know how it goes.
