Hi all,

newbie in the forum and bought my first landie today :)
1995 90 rebuilt on a galvanised chassis, converted to a soft top, tdi300.

Plan of attack then:

Phase1: Security > Insurance... tips needed for where to get quotes that they are not going to panic that the chassis has been swapped out. It's going to parked on the driveway... what should I get for keeping the baddies away?

Phase2: Protection > It has a steering guard and something that looks robust on the side (will need to look into this more when I pick up next week)... what else for green laning and light off-roading ?

Phase3: Fun > Green lane advice or any pay and play in Berkshire/Bucks ?

Right, I'm off to read the forums where there is undoubtedly the answers to the above... Feel free to take the ****, friendly advice preferred :)

Any thoughts on X-eng pedal lock ? 170quid seems a bit steep but like the idea of a low intrusion for me

Any insurance tips... I want to get cover for green laning and non competition off roading... no info on the mainstream insurers as far as I can find out.

Insurance wise you won't go wrong with Lancaster. Whatever you do speak to them on the phone after getting an online quote and they'll reduce it for you even more! It's specialist Land Rover insurance too which is always good ;)

Oh ... and :welcome:

As above^^^ they rule full offroad cover and recovery.
