Hi

Newbie here, my Td5 automatic (2003) occasionally make a whirring noise after the engine has been turned off, it seems to eminate from under the car (?beneath the passenger seat), not being mechanically minded not sure what it is. It lasts for about a second and may occur up to 6 times before ceasing. Any advice would be appreciated.

air suspension its the compressor unit. Please go and introduce yourself in the intro section before you get ripped apart welcome

The car has air susp. on the rear if so its the compressor. Mine did it for a while it's either stopped now or i havent noticed but the car will drop by 20mm after being switched off and doors shut.Like a park mode.

not far wrong on here loony zone can have it moments.
