Hi ,I have just got my first Range Rover p38 01 plate 4.0 with lpg con.
It has no go in it at all so changed the maf and read on here that you have to reset something for it to function properly.Any advice would be appreciated. thanks:confused:

Sorry but I can't help with any P38 problems as I never had one i drive a l322 but just wanted to say welcome to the range rover family :welcome2:

I'm sure someone will be along and be able to help with your problem :)

Welcome to the forum. Firstly, can you please put your location in your profile as there may be someone local who can help.

What you are probably referring to is to have the engine ecu put into "Adaptive Learn" mode. This resets the ecu to new or default mode and allows the ecu to adjust itself and the engine settings to optimum over a distance of approx. 100 or so miles. This can be done easily by anyone with P38 diagnostics.

Hey Matt, I see my sig has appeared on your sig as well .....I'll take that as a compliment mate .....Tis GOOD though aint it!!!

To Quote Claw and Matt's Sigs well that's bolloxs!
In a BMW or Merc you "DRIVE" to your Destination in a Range Rover your "TAKEN" there.
I had to DRIVE all the way to fecking Lancs to get two cups of coffee, I certainly wasn't taken there, only advantage of. :D

I have same issue. Fuel trims on mine were completely out so have been reset. It still isnt as responsive as it should be so going back in for more investigation. The thing sounds like a tractor as well which isnt great. Last owner fitted an RPI cam which I am a bit suspicious of.

If I get any updates over next 2 weeks will share here.
