Lots of repair panels available. More cost effective to weld yourself if you can but small jobs wouldnt warrant buying the equipment.
Prepare for more rust than you can see but if you can sort that a disco is reliable and good fun.

so i think i have my work cut out lol not even looked at front end need to renew rear cross member not bad but am fussy and am down this far may as well

Yup the rear x member is gone! Yrm do them for £120 or something. How did you remove boot floor? Drill spot welds or cut out?

Looks like a good project and your well into it. It must be great to have all the right tackle and a place to do it.

This picture caught my eye, check the tubular cross member for the "A" frame.

The flat plates look quite corroded, best give the slap with a hammer test before you weld the floor in, you'll never do it from underneath once it is in!!!

Best of luck saving it matey, buy replacement panels for it and spend, spend, spend, it will be well worth it in the long run, time saved and less stress trying to blow holes, I mean weld in patches, Just cut the rot out, drill an spot it in place ;)

PS.

If the cross member side plates have rotted through look HERE to see y build thread where I tackled exactly the same.

Oh, and tip for the seat belt bolts, grind head off, drill out the center and then work it out with vise grips, think it is M8X1.5 but try a tap in and just replace with a new bolt ;)

As access is now good you should paint cgassis, clean ir bypass the sedimenter and check the a frame ball joint. Easier to change with boot out (but still a pain!). Good luck
