Hi all

Im new to the Landy Zone , and tbh , new to defenders ....

I had always wanted a defender and when recently decided we needed a more suitable vehicle the defender was at the top of the list ..

So we are a family of 5 and a dog , we tend to do a lot of outdoor stuff, we spend a lot of time away climbing, mountaineering , winter climbing , camping .. also my daughter and I skydive so we spend a lot of time camping and staying at different drop zones around the UK and Eu , I also have a yacht and have found carrying the dinghy and outboard about was a pain ... , I wanted something I could hook motorcycle trailer to for when I do track days .. , and the wife said that we deff needed a 4x4, think this was because last year we got stuck in the old car about 6 time :(

So I could justify buying a defender .. lol.. :)

We bought a td5 , it was the 50th year anniversary edition , it had a full service history and was owned by land rover for the first part of its life as a display vehicle , then only had one other owner , tho it was from 1998 it looked in great condition ...

We have some big trips planned for this year, so I am currently getting our Landy ready , the wife wanted to outfit the landy full overland style but I think that may be a bit overkill for our needs, but time and money will tell ..

Cheers guys .

Hello and welcome.
You already had it good I reckon, a Defender must be the cherry. Nice one :)

Hi and welcome!

Nice Landy, looks well looked after. +1 for good security measures as a priority.

yeah , we have added extra security .. its a shame that we have to do this tho :( and will over time be adding other extra layers of security ..

On the security front... Better sooner rather than later. When I go out nicking tratters to fund ma hippo's running costs am always surprised at how many dun't have any eggstra security.

I’ll donate a gallon to the fund, matches are free

BOOM double the value and environmentally friendly GAYLANDER

Niche money for old rope scheme ( sorry it’s fecked £90 hour insurance subby) people get put up in hotel and licence to print money
#No****ery ie less than £30 hour for doing bugger all- elvis has left the building
Subcontract it out for zero effort and same cash- hard choice.
