Hi all
Im new to the Landy Zone , and tbh , new to defenders ....
I had always wanted a defender and when recently decided we needed a more suitable vehicle the defender was at the top of the list ..
So we are a family of 5 and a dog , we tend to do a lot of outdoor stuff, we spend a lot of time away climbing, mountaineering , winter climbing , camping .. also my daughter and I skydive so we spend a lot of time camping and staying at different drop zones around the UK and Eu , I also have a yacht and have found carrying the dinghy and outboard about was a pain ... , I wanted something I could hook motorcycle trailer to for when I do track days .. , and the wife said that we deff needed a 4x4, think this was because last year we got stuck in the old car about 6 time
So I could justify buying a defender .. lol..
We bought a td5 , it was the 50th year anniversary edition , it had a full service history and was owned by land rover for the first part of its life as a display vehicle , then only had one other owner , tho it was from 1998 it looked in great condition ...
We have some big trips planned for this year, so I am currently getting our Landy ready , the wife wanted to outfit the landy full overland style but I think that may be a bit overkill for our needs, but time and money will tell ..
Cheers guys .
