Thanks for the posts gstuart and Littlwill :D
Fuel economy? Mine don't do very much town work, but the hills here don't seem to help the fuel economy and I notice the difference if I drive somewhere else. Pottering about the lanes, mixed with A and B roads with not too much traffic returns around 27-28 mpg on the computer. A long journey on the flat can get up to around 31 mpg. The economy is virtually identical to my previous D4 of the same model year (both of them were the later one, with AdBlue). Driving over 30,000 miles a year (and paying for the fuel myself) I'm pretty conscious of this!
As for the colour, thanks. I'm really pleased with it. It's such a classic LR colour and a lot of the recent Defenders around here seem to share the same colour.

when i first got mine , the mpg monitor was stuck on around. 20mpg, then going up a hill it went into limp mode, removed the map sensor, was blocked solid

doing a 5-10 min run around town mine dropped to around 9mpg

gave it a good thrashing and now returns 28-29 mpg, still got to blank the egrs

the turbo actuator had been sticking but after today's italian tune up it seems to have freed it off, will spray it with some wd40

really pleased with it and can't get over how nice it is to drive, so comfortable and quiet whilst sitting at 70mph , is nice when u stick ur foot down there's plenty of power

mine is work in progress , just completed the air suspension rebuild

is my favourite landy by far

Looks really good.
I've got a real dog as well and he's in the boot, not like those furry dice dogs some have ;)

I'm averaging around 200mpg9 on a long run as the evidence will show

and around the 29mpg normal as I don't do town driving. Seems to cope well with sitting at 65 - 70.
Was on a private stretch of land  this morning as before I realised was doing 85mph!

Glad to say that I'm on my th LR and I've not had a duff one yet, but the two D4's I've had have been my all time favourites. All being well, I hope to be able to hang on to one or other of these for as long as I an afford to keep one running!

That's damn impressive economy - little wonder you've still got a full tank after 86,000 miles....

Never without a border collie or two!
