Picked up a S3 109 6cyl from Bristol a couple of weeks back, decided in my deluded state of mind to drive it back instead of paying for it to be shipped as I had a stove to collect from Hereford and thought I could kill 2 birds and lift it on the way up to Holyhead to get the ferry.

Was quite the adventure still have the bruises, took 14 hours to get to Holyhead 9 hours driving and some of the rest replacing the clutch in a carpark, then 3 hour ferry Journey and 4 hour drive from Dublin home.

I did however bond with Gurty during the journey, and now another chapter starts as I try to restore her to her former glory.

Will no doubt be trawling the forum relentlessly for info over the next while :)

Always more fun to drive it yourself.... I drove mine back from Wales. Ran out of petrol in the middle of nowhere ( petrol stations with no petrol ! ). 011.JPG
