Hi all, I am the proud owner of a Freelander 1.8 Manual petrol - great looker, sad thing is the fact that I am having serious issues with gear changes. When cold is ok and acceptable - I am aware that 4 x 4 (some) have issues with rigid gear changes ( I previously owned a Ford Ecosport ) however, what is hard to accept is the hotter the vehicle gets the harder the gear change... any ideas why? is it coolant related?? flushing? maybe? Please Please help... thank you

Ta herr Slobmeister. I aint into manual boxes. but i bet a few other will be - Clutchdust maybe?

1.8petrol ffs:rolleyes:

At the end of the day ... I guess a paella would not help my problem... but the worse thing is that I was planning to drive to Spain with the Freelander... I am very very worried... question is ... would the AA help me in Spain .... que???

Yes I agree I have read the reviews, unfortunatelly after I bought it !! and it only has 30,122 miles and in da garage ( Car Giant !! never buy from them !!trust me) waiting to ttest the gears then - that is apart from the sunroof not closing, the clutch or gears, flat spare wheel... and guess what !! I have only driven thee twice!! so I have just decided to advertise the dreaded vehicle in Loot or Gumtree...... wish me luck Gracias amigos !!
