Hello,right as predicted by Wammers I have replaced my LF sensor and now have no faults and APPEAR to be in control of my P38 suspension,however I am still not sure whether this is working correctly despite not having any faults,please bare in mind this is my first P38 and it may just be me not knowing how it works.

So I am sat in my car and have no EAS fault light on my dash,happy... so lets see what this is supposed to do then,at the time the car was in access mode,I press the up button but instead of it going to the next 1 up(low) it goes straight to standard mode and takes quite a while to get there.So according to the manual a steady light will show on the mode it is on and the mode I have selected will flash until it has reached that selected mode,well that kind of happened except it skipped the mode I wanted and went to standard,however flashing light on standard mode,when I said it took a while to get there I don't mean it was rising slowly,it seemed to be going up and down as if it was struggling to find the height it should be at,and then got there,and doesn't look too level but guessing some calibration work needs doing.

So why is it taking so long to find the level it should be at,as I said before,it seems to go up and down as if it can't find the height it should be at.

And why won't it let me select "low" mode,as this will probably be the mode i would use it in most of the time.

After mucking about with the sensors what should I be doing to make it work properly as I seemed to remember my friends 1 working far quicker.

Ok after a re read of the manual it would appear I missed the part when it says to press the inhibit button before I select low manually,I have now done this,and it goes into low. Thing is I am still concerned by the amount of time it takes to find standard as it finds low really quickly yet as I said seems to struggle FINDING standard! Time to start going through figures to get the car sitting right me thinks.

If it is struggling to get there, this would indicate low air pressure, try filling the tank by leaving a door open for 15mins or so.

Or is it getting to height quickly, but hunting around to find level??

If it is hunting this could be due to a leak or a dirty height sensor.
 
Just a bit of info. You mentioned the central locking stopped working for a while. Check how many wifi signals you have around you,( I had 5 ) they can play hell with P38's. I had the immobilise activte twice and the front door locks burn out in the first two weeks I had the car. I now carry a syncmate but since I changed the RF reciever for the later one ( part number YWY500170) I've not had to use it. A friend of mine can't park outside our post office cos thier alarm system activates his immobiliser.
