Hi guys. Just been told bulkhead outrigger cant be patched for mot. Been told it would take ten hours roughly. At £60 per hour does this sound a fair price?
Cheers in advance.

Unless chassis is rot I think they are taking the **** big time, but I what reckon what they are in fact doing is hoping you take it elsewhere as they dont want the work and IF you do get them to do it they will still farm it out and make a handsome profit.

Search you area for mobile welder or classic car repair place

Agree entirely ! Ten hours my arse. They've likely priced themselves out of the job. As above, a decent mobile welder will be able to sort that out without too much problem as long as there are no other material issues.

Ok so have had the local indy have a look..
If i supply the outrigger they can weld it on for 250. Or they said it can indeed be plated for 150.
Liked the sound of the specialist but.. 600+ is a bit too much me thinks as others have stated.

There is the hole underneath. But since this photo was taken. Pushed fingers through the front of it and it fell out. But he said back and top is fine and he can weld the front and bottom with plate.
