Happy new year to all.
Two years ago I purchased a p38 diesel, it is a wonderful machine most of the time and I have added many bits to it to make it more usable and to keep it up to date.
Most of the time it is a great machine.
I’ve added side steps, roof rails, nudge bars, satnav, CarPlay, reversing cam, auto dimming mirror, electric seats, later cup holders, tow bar, dash cam etc,
Engine wise I have replaced the timing chains, injector pump, some injector sealing washers, tank fuel pump, added Mann-Hummel oil separator, replaced battery, starter and alternator, intake temp sensors.
The one remaining problem I have is that when hot after driving on a warm day the engine appears to get heat soaked and will stall when manoeuvring or when the AC clutch cuts in. All these things point to a worn diesel injector pump, this however was replaced with a rebuilt unit from island 4x4.
Maybe it is still my problem, it generates no faults when it stalls (nanocom), sometimes the idle drops to about 300 before it stalls. All the symptoms point to the injector pump again.
All and any advice to fix this problem would be appreciated

Ha! Point was i have spent a lot of money on it, quite like it, just ****es me off, from searching other threads it looks like my injector pump is the most likely cause.
Can be spilling my beer while driving :)

Might be worth biting the bullet and take it to a diesel specialist .. not necessarily Landrover ... and have them check the setup, injectors, timing and basically overall fettle of the pump. Just 'cos it was rebuilt doesn't mean it was setup properly to suit the engine.
