Just saying hello...ive often looked in on conversations about technical matters and found it v. Informative...thought maybe its time i join...using my amazing disco2 as regular family car is costly for me so taken hard decision to move it on and at some point down the road maybe get one as a toy as i live on a private estate and have green lane oppertunity..so, hi!

You are very lucky to live in Scotland and have legal laneing opportunities.
 
cheers for the welcome...its a working estate so one other vehicle going about shouldnt make much difference.Still need permission from Laird(courtesy)..so long as im not interfering with wildlife( grouse/deer/sheep) or tearing up the landscape it wouldnt be a problem(i hope) ....I was previously the proud owner of 2 lada nivas

Niva aren't bad if you want a budget off roader. Strong and functional, like a lot of Russian stuff.
 
And if you dont mind being cooked by the heater thats permanently on while trying to find the window winder thats just fallen off and rolled under your seat
