right got jump lead connected to battery and alternator started on petrol no diffrence just the same
switched to gas runs better as it has been
pulled maf leads out on gas no diffrence.
 
maf leads out on petrol runs worse the order there in now runs best on petrol this is same order leads have been on before swapping ends over makes worse as already stated
 
May be your fuel adaptions. If the gas is running a little lean the ecu will adapt to this and increase the injection pulse, therfore when you run on petrol you still are running with increased fueling leading to rough running. Get the adaptions re-set and see how she is.
 
how do i get the adaptions re-set i dont have much money left and was not really wanting to be spending on things on the off chance im sure i could spend a fortune and still not solve the problem and if that was the case i would have to get rid for whatever someone offered me as i cant afford garage bills and would have towing charges etc as well
im trying to be at least 90%
as your suggestion as good as it is is one of many
basically i have £200 left if i cant fix it with that then thats it for me
i have already spent 700 and i only had 900
 
if its running fine on lpg then it should be ok to use whilst weather is warm, it should also be fine starting on lpg whilst weather is warm. at least it will give you a bit of breathing space till you can get it hooked up to a machine and try to find the problem!
 
what about the suspension then i cant get the eas software to sync i killed 2 batteries trying to get it to work yesterday and that was following all the software tutorial videos and how toos all i get is 28 and 80s
 
find someone with the landrover diagnostics to plug in in it will save all this ****ing about and wasting money
 
the software on mine connected straight away, i had to change the com port tho. did you get it on the correct com port?
 
on correct com on pc checked through device mangaer and set on drop down menu on eas sotware nothing unplug, switch ignition off back on reload fiddle with settings as showed on video nothing start again everything off changed com port on pc sync with eas software nothing,
all off again start over tried this continuously most of yesterday morning probably tried 30-40 times being very careful each time that all setting were correct and still nothing 28 and 80s the whole time
tried setting all doors and windows try again sync same thing went over this rigorously thats why went through 2 batteries and nothing so have given up thinking the port on car does not work
which doesint help me in the slightest
even if i borrowed money from someone to get it to a garage theres none near me there all miles away so im stuffed either way
 
take the panel off that the socket is on in the passenger footwell and make sure all the wires are in the plug properly.

failing that you can connect the cable straight in, i used the wire from an old serial mouse to build mine and soldered it into the correct wires via the diagram that comes with the software you download from the rsw solutions site!

the cable you got, was it for eas? i would check the cable has the pins in the right holes!! you could always doctor that cable and solder it in, after all its pretty useless at the moment!

i took the panel off as i thought was maybe pushing it in and not connecting properly so done that and got a good lock in made no diffrence?

yes thats right it says open 7 day a week for help have you tried ringing them tell them what it is doing??????????????
 
i assume the car can not be running when doing this?
was only thinking of my batteries as i seem to have a limited time until there totally dead
 
well im thinking something is faulty as im following all i have read and watched to the letter,
so im guessing its my luck something is knackered like everything else i get
 
i got a small driver cd for the serial adapter and its installed done this before i started but thanks gav!!
