Hi, New here been a long term landrover fan for years, I have a defender 50th and RRC 3.9.

I have always know the RRC was a factory car, we are the 3rd owner and its only done 62k with full main dealer history.

Its having a part refurb at the moment and as part of it its probably having an updated engine fitted either Turner, RPI or JE. Its had new tyres, rear arches, lepsoms refurbed wheels, new discs, pads, callipers, brake lines and fuel lines to name but a few.

Passed MOT ...no advisories and then the engine stoped playing ball !!

As part of looking back at the history, with landrover it was registered as "Solihull plant built, Dealer use only" now this intrigued me, it may just mean it was a factory car or does it mean it was something else ?

Any advise welcome

Thanks

That's a good idea. When I bought my p38 I called Landrover and they gave me the full main dealer service history it had! For free! Plus sent me a list of any recalls the p38 went back for under warranty PLUS a free key ring

Our D2 was built in November 1998 but wasn't registered until July 1999, it was registered to Rover and we think it was used for accessory or parts fitment testing. We found an auto box ECU plugged in under the seats recently, but it was built as a manual according to the factory build sheet that we have.

It was built as a 5-seater but has seven seats, no record of previous owners fitting them. It is a GS but has the high-end H-K audio fitted.

I did many seven seat coversions at PDI, it came as a complete kit and took about an hour to fit.
