Hi guys,

Bad news... My engine has blown! All 6 pistons have melted and camshaft broken in to 6pcs. They found NITRO DILUENTE inside EURO-Diesel! :confused:

WTF...

So now I have question for you guys,and knows that you can help me!

Can I install BMW 3.0D with 218HP? OR some stronger 3.0D from range of BMW engines since our 3.0TD6 177HP is also BMW...

What should I change else If I fit 218HP engine and is it possible?

Any suggestions are welcome!!!

From looking at some (Italian language) pages; that looks like paint stripper/thinners :wtf: :eek:

Hope your filling station will be paying for the cost of the engine replacement...

I think you'll need to say what Range Rover you've got before anyone can advise re the engine swap (ie P38, L322 etc).

I could not believe what is happening!!!
 
Is it self inflicted, some people will put anything in their fuel to try and get a boost of power? Can't think the contaminated fuel came from a pump or there would be knackered diesels everywhere.

:confused: You think that I have put NITRO!?!?! In Diesel Engine???!!! Dont know If there were anyone else BUT I know for mine car It is BROKEN!!! I have arranged payment with gas station where I have filled my car! BMW dealer could not believe what they saw... The diesel was whiter and like yogurt!!! Thy have never seen anything like this and shaft cracked in to 6pcs...

OK it was just a thought you hear of all sorts of experiments. There must have been a lot in the fuel for that to happen. Gas station should pay that is ridiculous.

Agree with you on this one . If it was bad fuel there would be a mile long line of bad motors and the trade standard would have tanks locked and would be testing. Maybe sabotage, did you **** off someone?:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Yeah John it is a strange one. If the gas station has say a 3000 gallon tank there would have to be a lot of thinners in there to make a difference. A couple of gallons would not do it i don't think. 5% is 150 gallons. I don't think 5% would cause that. Sounds like someone has doctored his car. But he does say gas station is paying so maybe someone has something against them. Who knows.
 
Guys,guys...No body is against me! I am not standing next to the fuel station to know how much cars are affected,but one thing I do know! The owner of gas station WILL pay for new engine! And now,help a little about the first post!

Something just does not smell right here, all six pistons have melted?? camshaft broken into six parts????????? I might just believe this if you were talking about a drag racer at full chat, but not a road going Range Rover.
Who found "NITRO DILUENTE" in the fuel???????????

BMW Dealer told me about NITRO! And It was smelling really bad,like NITRO! OK,2 pistons were completely melted,and 4 were 70-80%,like they were made from paper! I AM driving a little faster but there is no way I am taking it to drag race! So...Is it possible what I asked and how it is possible? The "diesel" is like some white-yellow yogurt stuff,whern they got it from fuel filter and of-course fuel tank!!!
 
Sounds terrible chap...

So, please name and shame the filling station and its location that has the contaminated fuel and is paying for your engine swap?
Got a garage report to share with us?
Any photos to show?

Things added to the thread, like the above, will add some credibility to your thread.
Without these things unfortunately the thread will probably go nowhere mate ;)

I was trying to be a little more diplomatic n give the fella a chance to prove he's not just a simple story teller;)
and funnily enough, if he WAS in the **** with his engine he'd be online right now waiting for some pearls of wisdom.....but he's offline:doh::doh::doh:

I play poker....but you just climbed over the table and hit the fella over the head with a spade, or a club! LOL
If he has a couple of brain cells to rub together he'll know that I know he's bull****ting...but I did it without saying he's a bull****ter.....

But, seeing as everyone else saying he's one, I may as well too now..

I dont have pictures of broken shaft but I do have pics of fuel! I will have pics of shaft next week because my car is 30miles form my place!
